Let's begin.
Tomorrow is a friend's wedding shower and I made the cake, working with fondant for the very first time.
I still need to brush off the excess confectioners sugar. The bottom tier of the cake is a seven layer cake, glazed with raspberry and filled with a milk chocolate buttercream. The top tier is a deep chocolate and espresso cake with raspberry glaze.
Turns out I didn't need Duff after all.
What are you showing today?

- If you would like to join circle time and show something to the class, simply post each Sunday (or earlier in the weekend or on Monday if you can't do Sunday), hopefully including a picture if possible, and telling us about your item. It can be anything--a photo from a trip, a picture of the dress you bought this week, a random image from an old yearbook showing a person you miss. It doesn't need to contain a picture if you can't get a picture--you can simply tell a story about a single item.
- Label your post "Show and Tell" each week and then come back here and add the permalink in the comments section below (make sure you don't just comment that you participated: add a link to your blog in your comment so people can click over). I post a new Show and Tell post every Saturday night or Sunday. I usually move people up into the body of the post every few hours.
- Oh, and then the point is that you click through all of your classmates and see what they are showing this week.
- If you want it...
I've now placed a Show and Tell archive on the sidebar that will be updated each week in case you miss it. And click here for the icon code if you wish to have it for your blog. It links to the archives.

Dear Lord that cake looks good! You're lucky I'm not there, because there would be a little fingerswipe where I just could not resist.

I know I said it before, but I think that the cake you made is absolutely beautiful!!
I am totally impressed by the cake. I think, instead of Lollipop Goldstein your name should be Wonder Woman. I just can't figure out how you manage to do so much and raise twins!! I need some of whatever you're taking!
Gorgeous. I know you don't sleep, which is why I'm not asking how you get time to blog so much as well as cook and everything else.

great looking cake - I don't think that I'd have the patience to work with fondant!! (there is one time that my brother will never let me forget - when I threw the spreading knife across the room one Christmas because the buttercream wasn't spreading properly on my Yule Log!!!)
Anyway - my show and tell is here!
Wow, I am impressed! I've made a few cakes with fondant and I know how tricky it can be, especially until you get used to the technique. Excellent job!

Great cake! A friend of ours made a wedding cake for our post-wedding party after we got back from our destination wedding. I am a decent cook/baker on a lot of things, but lovely cakes like this are not in my repertoire! So well done. :)

(Sorry I haven't been commenting for a while. It's taken me forever to catch up on blogs since we got home with Sam and you are so prolific that the sheer number of posts I have to read here intimidated me! Please forgive me if I don't comment on all of them.)
