Truths and Lies

Okay, so I totally fucked this up and did it the wrong way. I did it as 4 truths and 2 lies instead of 6 lies and 2 truths. But rather than start over, I present it in its very wrong state for this meme. When you do it (since everyone who reads this is tagged), you can do it the right way or my wrong way. Either way, read the list below and figure out which are the 4 truths and which are the 2 lies...
  1. Prior to starting graduate school, I auditioned for the Real World on MTV and made it to the final round of cuts. It was between me and Montana and they took Montana. I ended up in Massachusetts anyway for graduate school.
  2. Whenever there are decorative rocks anywhere, I make Josh steal one for me. I'll never do it myself, but I always beg him to do my bidding.
  3. I used to cut high school to hang out at other people's high schools. I sat in on my friend's French class for the whole year and sometimes even took their tests for the hell of it.
  4. I was in navy ROTC my freshman year of college but I dropped out after one year.
  5. I was once upgraded to business class when I had an anxiety attack on an airplane--this was after taking an Ativan.
  6. I once had a private audience with the pope.
So, which two do you think are the lies? The right answers will be revealed later this weekend.

Can I just state for a moment that this was one of my favourite games back in college along with "I never..." I was such a terrible drinking game person. Can I also ask a really lame favour? If you do this meme, I really want to read it and I'm scared I'm going to miss it, but I'm having this work-heavy weekend and I'm not sure how many blogs I'm going to read during that but I don't want to miss the post and have it buried under other posts once I stop working so if you do this meme, can I be really lame and ask you to email me and let me know or post the url in the comments section below so everyone else can enjoy your truths and lies too and find a mass of them to read at once? Yes, I know it was a run-on sentence.

I'm guessing that #3 and #6 are the lies. For some reason I can imagine you cutting school but not to just go to another class! And if you really did have an audience with the pope, please tell us about it!

I think #1 and #3 are false. It didn't phase me at all that you would have a private audience with the pope. That was just a "well, of course she did" moment.

I'm going with 1 and 3 as well. If you had auditioned for the Real World than Duff wouldn't have been your only claim to fame!

I'm guessing 1 and 6. A class you don't have to take is always more fun - so I can see you cutting class to hang out in another.

I was going to guess that #1 and #4 are lies, but everyone else seems to think #4 is true. maybe they know something I don't? ~luna

I vote 1 and 6.

Although I wonder what a nice Jewish girl like you would be doing having a private audience with the Pope, I can totally see you doing it! lol

#4 and #5 are the lies.

Crickets on a plane...now THAT would require all the scotch in first class.

changing my mind slightly -- #4 and #6 are lies. if I saw you at the vatican, I might wonder what's a nice jewish girl like you doing in a place like this...

#1 (for the Duff reason). I am also tempted to go with #6, but it is so outrageous, that it almost has to be true. Plus, you didn't say which Pope, so it could've been the current one while he was a cardinal or somesuch.

BTW, early in the year Monkey didn't want to talk about what they did in school much, so we started playing the two truths and lie at dinner, and learned a great deal.

I'm going to have to go with 3 and 6, too. I'm trying not to get either bluffed or double-bluffed, or triple-bluffed... and I've ended up confused, so I've gone with the obvious.

I've looked at this like 20 times now and it's driving me nuts. I'm just going to have to pick two...
1 and 3.
There I did it. Gah. Now I want to change my answer.
I also can totally see you having an audience with the Pope. I mean, you are a queen, it make sense in my mind...
I did this over on my blog.
