One trip to the farm today = 4 rustic tarts: peach, raspberry, strawberry, and blueberry. Served with cream. This is how I spent my afternoon.

It can be anything--a photo from a trip, a picture of the dress you bought this week, a random image from an old yearbook showing a person you miss. It doesn't need to contain a picture if you can't get a picture--you can simply tell a story about a single item. The list opens every Wednesday night and closes on Friday night.
- You must mention Show and Tell and include a link back to this post in your post so people can find the rest of the class. This spreads new readership around through the list. This is now required.
- Label your post "Show and Tell" each week and then come back here and add the permalink for the post via the Mr. Linky feature (not your blog's main url--use the permalink for your specific Show and Tell post).
- Oh, and then the point is that you click through all of your classmates and see what they are showing this week. And everyone loves a good "ooooh" and "aaaah" and to be queen (or king) of the playground for five minutes so leave them a comment if you can.
- Did you post a link and now it's missing?: I reserve the right to delete any links that are not leading to a Show and Tell post or are the blogging equivalent of a spitball.

mmmmm. They look good.
I've also got pastry nailed. Not entirely true. I have tarts nailed. (that sounds much ruder than intended) My two best tarts are poached plum in almond frangipane and creme brulee with a touch of ginger and some pistachios - only I don't yet have a blow torch for the top so i'm yet to perfect the toffee layer on these ones. But they taste amazing.
Fresh picked fruit is tasty huh.
enjoy. We'll enjoy them virtually which is kinda handy because a lot more people can enjoy the same amount of work.

I have eating pastry pretty much nailed.
And I have thought for a long time that you always take very lovely photos of whatever it is that you're showing. Someday I will emulate you. For now, it's enough that I show. :)

Would you believe, I've never made pastry?? Helped my mom, bought frozen pie crust, but never made it myself. Not that I need pies & tarts sitting around my house. Especially when they look as mouthwatering as yours!

WOW, those are beautiful! I made a blueberry pie for the first time in ages; not quite as good as my Mom's but not bad. such a classic summer treat.

The hardest thing in the world to me is making pastry. Baking is such a mystery!

Thanks for destroying my afternoon, Mel. I have a ton of stuff to do and will now spend the rest of the day wiping drool from my chin and googling tart recipes. I have short pastry making down fairly well, but that looks to me like yeasted pastry dough - is it? Either way I am swooning with desire for a slice of each of those tarts.
