Circle Time: The Show and Tell Weekly Thread

Welcome back to Show and Tell. Everyone is welcome to join, even if you have never posted before and just found out about Show and Tell for the first time today. In fact, we hope you do go back to your blog and post your own Show and Tell item and then return with the link to your post. Details on how to participate are located at the bottom of this post.

Let's begin.

I have the absolute coolest story in the world, but I cannot tell you it yet. I know, what a tease. But it will be worth the wait for the explanation to the pictures, which will come next Friday in the Roundup. In the meantime, why don't you guess the story and whoever comes closest to explaining these three pictures will get a prize.

What are you showing today?

Want to bring something to Show and Tell?
  • If you would like to join circle time and show something to the class, simply post each Sunday (or earlier in the weekend or on Monday if you can't do Sunday), hopefully including a picture if possible, and telling us about your item. It can be anything--a photo from a trip, a picture of the dress you bought this week, a random image from an old yearbook showing a person you miss. It doesn't need to contain a picture if you can't get a picture--you can simply tell a story about a single item.
  • Label your post "Show and Tell" each week and then come back here and add the permalink in the comments section below (make sure you don't just comment that you participated: add a link to your blog in your comment so people can click over). I post a new Show and Tell post every Saturday night or Sunday. I usually move people up into the body of the post every few hours.
  • Oh, and then the point is that you click through all of your classmates and see what they are showing this week.
  • If you want it...
I've now placed a Show and Tell archive on the sidebar that will be updated each week in case you miss it. And click here for the icon code if you wish to have it for your blog. It links to the archives.

Here's my guess:
You were on your way to Bali, you had a farewell ride with Josh on a bicycle rickshaw and surprise! Josh proposed! With a flower bracelet instead of a ring!

My Show and Tell URL coming soon...

I have absolutely no clue what story those pictures are leading up to. My Show and Tell is here.

I am thinking the last picture are those beads that are mentioned in the current book tour book? :0)

Can't wait to hear the coolest story ever!

Here is mine.

Ok, here's my Show and Tell post.

Now for my guess ... You have a crazy aunt who drove off in a rickshaw on her way to Bali - to meditate using her prayer beads - where she met Elizabeth Gilbert (you know you like that Eat Pray Love tie in!) and brought you back a lovely flowery bracelet.

AHA! And you thought no one would ever guess. ~LOL~

Oh ME ME ME ME ME ME!

I'm working on a new potentially expensive hobby.

No fair, I hate guessing games.

Ok, you went on a trip to Bali and one of your crazy relatives bought you the prayer beads because they feared that you would be eaten by the monkeys once you got there. In fact you did not get eaten by the monkeys and the person in the rickshaw sold you that flower ring which you brought back and gave to said crazy relative because it was her prayer beads that watched over you.

Am I close ;)?

I have no clue. Guessing games are not my forte. I will wait for the round-up.

I suck at guessing games but some of the ladies here have some great guesses. I'm looking forward to the post.

Here's my show and tell for the week. I decided to do something a little different and video blogged, hope that's alright.

Oooh, no fair with the teasing! I am horrible at guessing, but I'll take a stab at it. I think you lost your wedding ring on that rickshaw in Bali and Josh got you the flower ring to temporarily replace the one you lost. Your story is probably much more interesting than I could ever come up with!

Ooooooh, pick me ... pick me!!

Ok, I think that you were overseas on a holiday. You petted some monkeys who stole your flower ring. Catching a rickshaw back to the hotel later that day, you mentioned your stolen ring in passing to the rickshaw driver ... who then returned bearing a gift of some prayer beads for you, and a note to enjoy the monkeys in Bali.

Am I right or am I right?

xoxoxo

I am going with Cassandra on this one (partially because otherwise I have no clue). If Cassandra's right, she deserves the prize!

Here's my show and tell--and I have no idea how to make it hypertext in a post:

Hmmm. I'm also going with the whole Eat, Pray, Love theme.
I think you ate a pizza on a rickshaw, fell in love with a monkey in Bali who gave you a blue flower bracelet, and prayed for your sanity while holding some beads.

My guess vacation and souvenirs?
Did you ride that little cart thing?

I went ahead and participated in show and tell again, over on my blog. It's nothing exciting though.
