Listen to the Magic 8 Ball

Children and body fluids mentioned...

I have a Magic 8 Ball function on my palm pilot that is never wrong. I asked if the twins would make it to term and it said, "no." I laughed in the face of this electronic program and look what happened.

I got a new palm pilot this weekend and last night, I tested out the Magic 8 Ball to make sure the program worked with the new machine. "Will I have a good day tomorrow?" I asked the ball.

"All signs point to no," it told me.

I did not heed the early warning of the Magic 8 Ball and that was my first mistake.

I have been up since 4 a.m. I have done a full load of vomit-covered laundry and I have another one ready to go. We have gone through several towels, pillowcases, and sheets. We have had five clothing changes. A trip to the doctor. A half-hour session on the potty trying to get a urine sample.

As we were putting on our shoes, I asked the twins, "seriously, I should have listened to the Magic 8 Ball. Could this day get any worse?"

And then I opened the door and the skies opened. And it rained from the moment I brought the kids to the car and through the evening. We changed our clothes again, this time because they were soaked from the rain.

The evening ended with a fever and an expired bottle of baby Tylenol.

I swear, I'm offering up the Magic 8 Ball. If you have a question, send it along and I'll ask it. But you have to be prepared to hear the answer.

I asked the Magic 8 Ball if tomorrow would be a better day than today. But clever minx that she is, the program told me to "ask again later."

*edited to add: after reading the post, I realized it wasn't clear who was ill. We will temporarily be renaming the ChickieNob Vomiting Veronica--name that movie.

Crap Mel, sorry about your girl being sick!!! That sucks so badly.

But, yeah, I can post again.

Hope she's better tout de suite...

Poor thing. I hope she is feeling better soon and that Wolvog doesn't end up getting it too.
Oh and the eight ball thing. I never used to think about those much but I've become rather superstitious since I started TTC. I found several (hundreds) of High Sch00l Musical eight balls at disneyland over the weekend and every time I asked if I would ever have a baby the answer was "it's hard to believe" I hope that's not a bad sign.

"Four Weddings and a Funeral" if I am not mistaken? :0)

Hope VV is feeling better quickly and decides to be stingy and not share . . .

Whenever we go vomit-free for several months, I start to fear - and I don't even have a Magic 8 Ball for guidance.

(And the word verification deity must have taken umbrage at our criticism - my set of unique letters is very clear tonight!)

Oh, Sweetie. Those days and nights really test one's endurance, don't they?

So sorry you're going through that. I hope the worst is behind you.

Wishing for you a dry Tuesday.

Ask M8B if I will ever get the freaking post done, the one I've been working on for eons.

Signs point to ???

So sorry! We all had the stomach thing a few months ago! Ask the 8-ball if we will ever get more hours in a day. I really need some!Or a few magic fairies might be nice - well only if they cook and clean!

Hope that ChickieNob feels better after all of the vomiting.

You can ask the magic 8 ball if I'm pregnant. On second thought, I probably don't want to hear the answer to that question!

I am sorry to hear the little one is sick.

My eightball said I am not preggo. Damn. I hate when it is right.

Hope VV's belly boo boo is feeling better soon. I hate throwing up and I know throwing up. Poor thing.

I have no questions for the 8 ball, I'd just rather not know at this point. :)

So sorry for the crappy day. And I'm too afraid to ask you Magic 8 Ball anything now!

Oh no!!! Sick kids are just so sad to have. But, is it bad that I like how clingy they are while sick? It makes up for being puked on.

Okay, I have a magic 8 ball question. I'm not going to ask if I'm going to get pregnant. Or anything too serious. But after 16 days of a lining growing cycle, I have this question "Am I going to make it to transfer"? And yes, please tell me the real answer, even if it's an "all signs point to no" response.

Poor ChickieNob. And poor you and your poor washing machine. I hope everyone gets better and drys up soon.

Ask the 8 Ball if we are going to make our goal for Cali. (Of course, if it says no, I shall assume that it means we will go over.)

poor you! aaagggghhhh. stupid, stupid 8 ball.

ok, ask it-for me-if all my IF friends will get knocked up this year?? tell me, tell me, tell me! that the answer is YES!

Aw Mel!! I'm sorry! I hope she's better soon and that nobody else gets sick!

Poor little sick thing! Hope she's feeling better.

I'd ask your 8-ball a thing or two but I already posed my most important ones on Ask Zelda. (I think Zelda might use a similar answering system.) Z gave me all the answers I wanted, so I don't want to ruin things with an 8-Ball consult. What if they disagree?? :)

I am so sorry for your rough day. Nothing in the world is worse than a sick baby. I hope she gets better soon and that you start respecting the power of the 8 ball:) Maybe you need a fantastic leather jacket with one on the back(hope someone gets that reference.):)

Vomiting Veronica = Garbage Pail Kids.

The day did sucketh, indeed. I hope tomorrow is a better one.

I'm not feeling froggy enough to ask any cycling-related questions. I don't need that potential gloom or hope hanging over me.

However, could you ask it if we're going to be able to move in 4 years or under as planned? I think that's an answer I can swallow either way it goes. :)

Sounds like a fun day! Hope today was better, after all.

I hear you on the rain, sometimes it feels like being soaked to the bone is a permanent state of being. I guess that's what I get for living in Portland.

Love ya' babe ;-)
